CNY EWGA CHAPTER NEWS - 2009
2010 Board Takes Office
Effective November 1st the 2010 Board, elected by the CNY EWGA Chapter membership, took office. Representing our Chapter in 2010 are:
- President Janis Luce
- Vice President Colleen Roche
- Secretary Winnie Schleider
- Treasurer Laurie Kadah

The Board will be meeting on January 9, 2010 for the Annual Planning Meeting to set our Chapter goals and objectives for 2010. All current members are invited to attend.

2009 League Winners
Congratulations go out to each of our 2009 League Winners:
- Drumlins: Cindy Cook & Kathleen Wojslaw
- Pompey: Maralee Martin & Colleen Roche
- Links at Erie Village: Cheryle Kelley & Colleen Keane
- Foxfire at Village Green: Janis Luce & Kristie Carter
A showdown of sorts between the winning teams was held at the End-of-the-Season Banquet. The Overall League Winners were the representatives from The Links at Erie Village:
The beautiful trophy is engraved with their names and will be theirs to keep until next year's banquet where it will be passed along to the next overall winner.

Chapter Supports The First Tee
Our Chapter, in support of our local community and the promotion of women’s golf, is sponsoring three girls/pre-teens in The First Tee program. The First Tee strives “to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf.”
A contribution of $300 to The First Tee of Syracuse will pay the registration fee for three local girls into the program. In addition, $200 has been earmarked for the purchase of team golf shirts for the inner-city (Nottingham, Corcoran, Fowler and Henniger) girls’ high school golf team in the spring of 2009.
We plan to continue support of the program and plan an equipment drive in 2009. Save your “experienced” equipment and consider donating to this worthwhile cause!

Elections are complete and the 2008-2009 Board of Directors is in place. Officers include:
